Text Messaging Policy

1. The program
Repair shops and trade businesses that use Signet can give their customers a Front Desk phone number. Customers can text that number about their job, and an assistant — working for the shop, with its information — replies. Messages are about customer care: appointments, bookings, repair status, estimates, invoices, the shop's hours and location, and messages passed on to the shop's staff.
Each shop is the sender of its own messages. Its name appears in the conversation. Signet provides the software. No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this program.
2. How you opt in
You opt in to texts from a shop by any of these:
- Texting the shop first. When you text a shop's Front Desk number, it replies to that conversation.
- Asking for text updates when you call the shop, book with it or drop off a job, and giving your mobile number for that purpose.
Consent isn't a condition of buying anything. A shop will never text a number that hasn't opted in this way, and never after that number texts STOP.
3. Example messages
- "Hi Mike, this is Ridgeline Powersports. Your bike is booked in for Tuesday at 9am. Reply here if you need to change it."
- "Your estimate is ready for review: [link]. Reply STOP to opt out."
- "We're open 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. I've passed your question about the brake job to the team, and someone will call you back this afternoon."
4. Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies — you'll receive replies to your own messages and updates about your job. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Opting out
Text STOP to the shop's number at any time. You'll get one message confirming you've been unsubscribed and no more texts from that number after that. STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE and QUIT all work. To start again, text START.
6. Help
Text HELP to the shop's number for the shop's contact details, or email info@signetcrm.com.
7. Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. Information may be shared only with the carriers and messaging providers that deliver the messages. See our Privacy Policy.
8. Rules for shops
A shop using Signet texting agrees to:
- text only people who've opted in as described above, and only about their jobs and appointments;
- never send marketing, promotions or bulk messages through its Front Desk number;
- never re-subscribe anyone who has opted out;
- give accurate business details for carrier registration;
- follow the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, carrier rules and our Terms of Service.
